General Summary
We have a great opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join Michelman in our Blue Ash, Ohio location. You will be a key contributor to the associate experience, coordinating or leading several activities of HR including recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, HR processes and associate engagement. You will have exposure to all areas of Human Resources and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience beyond administrative tasks. This is an excellent role to contribute in all areas of HR with the opportunity to impact the organization and the associate experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Team in a full range of HR activities and contribute actively in all HR projects for the region
- Assist in the execution and administration of all performance management, learning and development, retention and compensation & benefits programs
- Serve as a trusted and valued business partner to managers and directors in the region
- Serve as the point of contact for all HR inquiries and associate questions
- Investigate associate issues and partner with leadership to execute resolutions
- Lead focus groups and debrief sessions based on engagement survey results
- Conduct stay and exit interviews, identifying trends and proposing solutions
- Develop and lead HR related training modules virtually and in person
- Manage Workers Compensation and Leave of Absence cases
- Assist in recruitment activities for the region; including but not limited to, the development of job descriptions with hiring managers, screening of potential candidates, and conducting interviews
- Assist in the management of all employee engagement activities and be actively involved in its’ execution
- Organize and manage employee records in an HRIS
- Work with Excel and BI to manage data and prepare reports that identify trends, report results and support decision-making
- Support the Human Resources team on special projects and tasks

Education and Experience
- 3 or more years of experience within Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or Organizational Leadership preferred
- Experience in manufacturing preferred
Work Hours
Michelman’s standard work hours for this role are Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm EST.
