Summary of Position:

MMC is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor to perform a variety of tasks while taking pride in their work. Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for all activities relating to the manufacturing process. This position assumes the responsibility of the Manufacturing Manager in his/her absence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and coordinates the activities of Production Supervisors, ensuring efficient production operations and meeting organizational goals.
- Leads the hiring process for manufacturing personnel, including conducting interviews, onboarding new hires, and supervising training programs to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
- Monitors and evaluates employee performance through regular reviews, providing constructive feedback, identifying training needs, and addressing disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Collaborates closely with the Sales department to ensure production schedules align with customer delivery requirements, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintains accurate attendance records for all manufacturing personnel, addressing issues related to absenteeism or tardiness in a timely manner.
- Partners with the Quality department to promote seamless coordination between the Production and Quality departments, ensuring product standards are met or exceeded.
- Implements and enforces safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and training to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, efficiency, and downtime, using data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manages inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain teams to prevent production disruptions.
- Develops and maintains production schedules, ensuring adequate resource allocation and adherence to deadlines.
- Facilitates communication between departments, serving as a liaison to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and challenges.
- Fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, encouraging employees to take ownership of their roles.
- Handles conflict resolution within the manufacturing team, addressing concerns fairly and effectively to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assumes additional responsibilities in the absence of the Plant Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing teams and overseeing production operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed to support training and facility startups.
