What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Nanny in Holland position at Michigan Nanny Solutions?
Position Overview:
Michigan Nanny Solutions is thrilled to present a rewarding opportunity for a proactive and experienced Full-Time Nanny to join a loving and supportive family in Holland. With two young children—a playful and affectionate 2.5-year-old toddler boy and a joyful 10-month-old baby girl—this family is seeking a skilled and collaborative caregiver to work alongside a stay-at-home mom, providing an extra set of hands and heart to help manage their busy daily routines. Dad works out of state and travels home on weekends, so the family deeply values the consistency, support, and partnership that their nanny will bring to their home. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week. The ideal start date is Monday, June 23, 2025.
This long-term role is ideal for a career nanny with a strong background in toddler and infant care—especially someone who is passionate about supporting early development, enjoys collaborative caregiving, and thrives in a structured yet flexible home environment.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
* Development-Focused Care in a Therapy-Enriched Environment: Both children receive OT, PT, and speech therapy and are currently working toward key developmental milestones. You’ll be a key player in their progress, partnering with parents to reinforce therapy goals and track developmental growth through daily play, routines, and activities.
* Consistent Schedule with Evenings Free for the Family: With a steady afternoon-to-evening schedule and guaranteed hours, this position offers reliability and rhythm. You’ll support the family’s daily flow, freeing up time for mom to work, rest, or recharge, while helping the children end their days with connection and calm.
* Meaningful Collaboration with a Devoted Parent: Mom is present and actively involved in her children’s lives. While she plans to be hands-on during the day, your presence will create space for her to work part-time from the home, run errands, and manage other household responsibilities. This is a true partnership built on mutual respect, communication, and shared goals.
* A Family Who Will Value and Appreciate You: The family’s dedication to providing a wonderful quality of life for their children is unwavering, and they are looking for a loyal, capable, and loving caregiver to join their team long-term. They’re excited to welcome someone who brings warmth, initiative, and a “we’re in this together” mindset.
Your Responsibilities:
* Child-Focused Care: Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young children, with a primary focus on supporting developmental goals, maintaining daily routines, and ensuring a safe and emotionally secure environment.
* Activity Planning & Learning Through Play: Plan and implement daily play-based learning activities and engaging experiences that support fine and gross motor skills, language development, and social-emotional growth. Activities can include sensory play, movement games, reading, music, outside play time, and outings and playdates in the community.
* Support Therapy Goals: Reinforce therapy strategies and recommendations from the children’s therapists throughout daily routines. Your attentiveness and consistency will help build on their progress and provide continuity of care.
* Household Support: Manage child-related housekeeping including dishes, sanitizing bottles and toys, children's laundry, tidying play areas, and assisting with general upkeep of the home. Occasional light household organizing during downtime is appreciated.
* Medication Administration: Assist with administering oral medications (via syringe) for both children, 3x/day. Training will be provided, and comfort with medication routines is essential.
* Occasional Flexibility & Travel Support: The family may request occasional weekend babysitting, overnights, or travel to visit extended family (e.g., Chicago area). Flexibility and willingness to discuss additional availability are appreciated.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Experience: At least three years of professional childcare experience, ideally as a nanny, specializing in working with infants and toddlers. Experience with special needs, early intervention, or therapy-based environments is highly valued.
* Skills: Confident, proactive, and intuitive. You are nurturing and attentive, skilled at balancing structure with flexibility, and able to support two young children with different needs. Experience with developmental delays, speech delays, and sensory-friendly caregiving is ideal.
* Personality: Warm, engaging, patient, and positive. You take initiative, read the room, and genuinely want to be a part of a family’s support system. You’re thoughtful, communicative, and eager to contribute ideas that make daily life easier and more joyful for everyone.
* Professionalism: Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of care. You value collaboration, are receptive to feedback, and thrive in a home where your role is deeply appreciated. You bring integrity, loyalty, and a strong moral compass to your work.
