What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Membership Sales and Exhibits position at Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association?
As our Membership & Exhibit Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through the acquisition of new members, retention of existing members and the successful sale of exhibit spaces. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, a passion for customer satisfaction, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Sales:
- Develop and execute membership sales strategies to attract new members.
- Identify and target potential members through market research and outreach efforts.
- Communicate the value proposition of membership to prospective members.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with members, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with our team to create promotional materials and campaigns to support membership growth.
- Exhibit Sales:
- Drive exhibit sales by identifying and reaching out to potential exhibitors.
- Showcase the benefits of exhibiting at events, conferences, or trade shows.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both members and exhibitors.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay informed about member benefits and services and work collaboratively to identify new services.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on membership and exhibit sales performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of strategies, and recommend improvements.
- Work collaboratively with team to develop annual budget for membership and exhibits.
