What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Supervisor position at MicroVention?
Supervise the Organization R&D laboratory materials and equipment inventory and maintenance. Initiate and assist in writing technical documents and assist in testing of products under the direction of engineering and scientific staff. May provide supervision of laboratory associates as needed. Job duties :
- Oversee general lab organization, lab storage space, badge access, lab layout, and cleanliness, interfacing with Facilities and / or Office Services.
- Interact with Vendors to obtain quotes and pricing and availability of supplies and equipment for the lab and submit purchase orders for these items.
- Maintain inventory of supplies for general use in the lab, including syringes, airline fittings and tubing, luer fittings, general use chemicals, etc.
- Maintain equipment logs, databases, maintenance scheduling, and asset tracking for R&D equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on laboratory equipment or work with Equipment Maintenance group and / or vendors for repairs when necessary.
- Write or assist in writing technical documents such as protocols, reports, and procedures.
- Assist in product testing under direction of engineering and scientific staff.
- Interface with Quality Assurance to assure calibration of equipment.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
