Overview
Koenig Materials is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team at the Pit in Oxford, MI. The primary responsibilities of this role include conducting daily testing of aggregates and effectively communicating results to management. Additionally, the successful candidate will be cross-trained as a Scale Operator/Receptionist, responsible for ticketing and weighing trucks along with various administrative tasks. This is a full-time position, including Saturdays and overtime as needed. Job-specific training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess product specifications and performance.
- Analyze test results and document findings accurately in accordance with quality assurance protocols.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures related to quality control processes.
- Maintain standards of MDOT quality control standards
Secondary Responsibilities
- Operate the scale for weighing and ticketing trucks
- Serve as receptionist and provide administrative support
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
Skills
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Proficiency in computer and technology systems to input testing data
- Basic math skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and practices.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as sifs, and scales.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions from results.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across various departments.
Qualifications
- Prior aggregate Level 1 or Level 2 testing experience is beneficial but not required

- Monday to Saturday
