Job Overview:
Middleton Meyers is seeking a qualified Groundskeeper to join the team! The primary job responsibilities include performing hands-on maintenance including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartments and other interior/exterior areas in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal individual should ensure completion of assigned maintenance requests.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
- Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
- Use lawn equipment to blow sidewalks, breezeways, office fronts & around dumpster corrals
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager in completing the assigned maintenance tasks given.
- Assist maintenance team with snow removal & spreading of ice melt when needed.
- Collect fallen tree limbs throughout property to be thrown away
- Help maintain & manage tenants patios as described in lease agreement by reporting to Manager/Supervisor
- Report any maintenance concerns for repairs in apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Meticulously maintain curb appeal.
- Deliver communication documentation to residents.
- Uphold all company policies, goals, and values.
- Assist management team with other various tasks required.
What You'll Need:
- Must have 1-2 years previous groundskeeper experience.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (bags of soil/concrete, cleaning supplies, mulch, misc. equipment, etc.)
- Must have knowledge of performing work on a ladder
- Neat, clean, and professional always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
- Driver’s license to operate vehicles is required.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills for communicating with residents, co-workers, and senior management.
- Demonstrate ability to contribute to a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
- Successfully pass a drug test and background screening.
