Position Specifics:
Department: Sales
Reports to: Store Location Manager / Corporate Sales Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
Manage all new complete goods inventories by placing orders, maximizing order programs, and maintaining inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
o Accurately place retail and stock orders with vendors in a timely manner
o Determines and manages stocking levels based on annual sales goals, product changes, and market trends
o Ensures all current order programs are maximized (Early Order Program (EOP), Multi-Unit Discount (MUD), etc.)
o Develops programs to reduce aged new inventory and meet dealership goals
o Ensures equipment information in the dealer business system and/or dealership website is accurate and timely updated
o Coordinates internal transfers of new equipment between dealership locations
o Locates and transfers equipment to/from other dealerships to satisfy customer needs
o Provides guidance to the Parts Department on attachments needed based on seasonality and market trends
o Coordinates the set-up process for stock equipment with the Service Department
o Performs monthly wholegoods physical inventory at all dealerships and aids external inventory audits to verify inventory records are accurate
o Communicates with Corp. Sales Manager, Sales leads, and sales staff on equipment availability and order status
o Communicates regularly with other departments ( parts, service, accounting)
o Ensures John Deere Envirocrates are returned and reconciles monthly outstanding list
o Evaluates used equipment values (ACV’s) for salespeople
o Keeps designated work area clean and orderly
o All other duties as assigned
_Requirements:_
**
o 3 years of sales experience
o Knowledge of Deere equipment, programs, and the Ag equipment industry preferred
o Knowledge of John Deere sales applications preferred
o Knowledge of basic accounting principles (interest rates, budgets, etc.)
o Basic understanding of order fulfillment processes
o High level of attention to detail and accuracy
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
o High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
o Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
