Job Summary :
The Springmaker position involves the fabrication and assembly of various types of springs, including compression, extension, and torsion springs, utilizing state-of-the-art machinery and tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed instructions to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Create springs that are used in power tools, firearms, and medical devices that you will see both in your daily life and around the world!
- Program specialty machines that combine computer numerical control (CNC) software with specially designed tooling, crafted by your own hands, to produce springs from round wire (similar to those found in retractable pens).
- Learn to read customer specifications and use manufacturing measuring tools.
- Experience various elements of steel fabrication, including hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, dye and painting systems, and steel grinding.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure springs meet the required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office, email composition, and other communication / collaborative tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or GED with additional training in mathematics and gauging.
- 2 years of Spring Making experience required.
- Over 2 years in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
