What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect position at Midtown Consulting Group?
The MCG Solutions Architect will model, design, and implement modern cloud data solutions. Our technology stack includes Microsoft’s suite of products, and solutions should include utilization of Azure, Machine Learning, and AI. Solutions designed should be scalable and modernized to efficiently roll out to new clients regularly. The solutions architect may also be responsible for the mentoring and leadership of team members to enhance and broaden the team capabilities as well as sales and marketing efforts to expand MCG's client base.
Project Responsibilities:
- Oversee project teams and deliverables ensuring the highest quality of service
- Build cloud architecture structures within client design
- Lead stand ups to delegate workload to appropriate team members
- Anticipate business needs moving desired state into data models supporting long-term solutions using SQL and non-SQL databases on cloud based platforms.
- Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models along with corresponding metadata using best practices to ensure high data quality and data access.
- Own and resolve data governance, data quality and protection issues
- Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency, and identify areas of improvement in current systems.
- Play a key role in the process of data transformation required for effective reporting, analytics, and visualization.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Lead and prospect potential clients informing of MCG capabilities
- Prepare proposals for RFPs
- Involve appropriate team members to support RFP efforts
- Lead post sale implementation of new projects
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10 or more years of experience in SQL database(s), Azure, and cloud architecture
- 5 or more years working in a data architect role including modeling
- Strong understanding of and experience with data management concepts, data cloud storage applications, and data analytics.
- Strong experience with Azure cloud technologies and cloud data engineering tools and services.
- Experience within a consulting environment
- Knowledge of machine learning practices and AI trends within data space
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSFT Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate
The pay range listed serves only as an estimate and is not a guarantee for this position. This role will require frequent travel to client sites for collaboration with internal team and external clients. The role may require additional travel for sales prospecting and RFP presentations.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
