Steven Steel Supply is a division of Midway Structural Pipe and Supply, Inc. and is an established Columbus, OH company with over 60 years of experience. We provide steel pipe products and custom fabricated items to numerous industries.
Steven Steel Supply is currently looking for a full-time dynamic individual for our Yard Employee position. This is a full time hourly position that comes with many advantages. We offer a competitive salary within a dynamic work environment and are positioned for future growth.
Required Skills:
- Must be able to safely operate a Band Saw and Chop Saw
- Must be able to push and cut steel pipe up to 12 inches in Diameter
- Ability to safely drive and operate a forklift, with loads 50 feet wide
- Ability to load and un-load trucks in the laydown yard with a forklift
- Ability to make local deliveries in a company owned Pick-up truck
- Ability to secure cargo with strapping and dunnage to ensure load is safe from shifting
- Grinding steel pipe and tapping threads into pre-drilled holes
- Torch or burn holes for galvanizing
- Bundling steel pipe with metal strapping
- Other warehouse duties as assigned
- Ability to present a positive image to our customers and vendors as a company representative
- Safety for yourself and others
This position is completed inside a warehouse and outside in a laydown yard - during all seasons. This is a physical job.
