Nature of Duties:
The ASC Patient Services Rep handles medical office duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, processing payments, and handling correspondence.
Specific Duties:
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, check-in/check-out patients, and follow up with missed appointments.
- Assist clinic staff with scheduling changes and confirm daily schedules.
- Document patient services in the medical record.
- Collect co-pays and balances, verify insurance information, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Communicate with billing department regarding insurance claims and patient accounts.
- Stay current on insurance and managed care changes.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required.
- Experience with medical insurance preferred.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with telephone collections is a plus.
Compensation: Pay starting at $17.87.
