Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Engineering Associate to join our IT team. The intern will assist in providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and helping maintain the company's IT infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment, develop technical skills, and learn more about IT support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in responding to helpdesk tickets and providing technical support to employees via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Set up and configure new user accounts, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with routine maintenance of systems, including software updates, backups, and hardware upgrades.
- Help maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation of equipment and licenses.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or other relevant departments as needed.
- Provide basic training and support to employees on IT tools and software.
- Assist in preparing IT reports and documentation for system audits and compliance.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach when interacting with team members and end-users.
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends, tools, and security best practices.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
