The primary responsibility of this role is to schedule appointments for MRI as directed or reschedule if needed. The ideal candidate must be driven to provide excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, and possess great organizational skills. This position will be onsite based at the Orthopedic Building in Chicago, IL near the Illinois Medical District.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with patients and staff in polite and helpful manner to book appointments for MRI; enter demographic data, insurance information, and other relevant information into the Athena System.
- Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
- Maintain and update current information ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, physicians and staff, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
- Assist staff members and patients, when necessary, in a positive and professional manner to ensure the patients receive utmost in care.
- Perform work with accuracy to minimize error correction by other staff members.
- Double check data entry to ensure the correct information has been entered into the Athena system.
- Organize and prioritize work to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay abreast of compliance with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA.
- Adapt to constant change in a positive and professional manner.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
- Operate basic office equipment such as a computer, phone, and fax machine.
- Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Work and communicate with patients and staff in all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Plus, a minimum of one year's work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
