Manager - Commercial Operations
Location: Dallas, TX
Reports To: Commercial Business Unit Manager
Responsibilities and Principal Duties:
Provide leadership that is consistent with established Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Statement of MIINC LP. MIINC has chosen Servant Leadership as the model to reflect the culture of our team.
Assist the Commercial Business Unit Manager in achieving company goals related to safety, quality, customer perception, profitability and ministry. The key metric for measuring performance is Return on Assets (ROA). You will be expected to impact key performance indicators through your selection of and leadership of the Commercial Team. Leadership at MIINC is gaining buy-in that leads to results.
Assist the Commercial Business Unit Manager in all operations of the commercial business unit through an aligned Commercial Team. This includes Project Management, Operations, Dispatch and Team Performance.
Project Management - Provide oversight, evaluation, and improvement of the effectiveness of the Commercial project management team. The team is to adhere to the project management processes as established by the MIINC Leadership Team. The ultimate goal of Project Management is to deliver safe, profitable solutions to our customers while maximizing customer satisfaction. Successful management of commercial projects includes scope clarification, budget development, managing schedule, risk mitigation, change order excellence and retention collection. Project outcomes are the core of our business.
Operations – Assist and consult the Commercial Business Unit Manager in all daily functions of the commercial business. These include, but are not limited to, managing and coordinating Commercial personnel, tooling and equipment resources to meet the needs of MIINC customers, managing all work to our quality standards and quality commitment, ensuring all company policies and processes are followed and employees are supported in their work.
Dispatch – Coordinate with the General Superintendent to ensure manpower requirements are forecasted and met on each project.
Team Performance - People are the core of MIINC’s value and purpose. Provide the Commercial team with clarity regarding the culture and direction of the company, goals of the company and the commercial team, and their specific roles and responsibilities as it relates to business unit and company goals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement through feedback, coaching, and recognition.
In alignment with the President, the Commercial Business Unit Manager and MLT, communicate vision, strategy, and overall performance. In addition, support company growth by developing new business, teams, and capabilities.
The Operations Manager’s responsibilities are about people. Recruit, train and replicate the best people for the industry. Coach, counsel, develop, and encourage. This part of the position cannot be overstated. Some travel may be required (up to 10%).
Qualifications:
- 7-10 Years Experience in Plumbing and Mechanical Construction Management
- Microsoft Office required
- Bluebeam required
- Sage 100 preferred
- BIM/Revit, AutoCAD Coordination with prefabrication facilities.
