Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in various accounting software. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

  • Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS system and ensure all data is up-to-date.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Utilize accounting software such as CDK and ADP to manage payroll functions efficiently.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and quarterly tax returns.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of employee benefits, deductions, and leave of absence calculations.
  • Assist in audits related to payroll processes and provide necessary documentation as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations that may affect payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as ADP, QuickBooks, or similar financial software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts related to payroll processing.
  • Excellent 10 key typing skills for accurate data entry.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insights for process improvements.
  • Previous experience in a payroll or accounting role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

Pay: $18.74 - $22.74 per hour
