Position Title: Senior Program Manager, United for Business
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $70,000.06

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the (expected salary for this position is $70,000.06. How You'll Help
The United for Business program works to help small businesses, primarily women and minority-owned, thrive and grow by providing programs and no-cost consulting services delivered by United for Business staff and experienced volunteer business leaders. Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Program Strategy & Community Partnerships this position will be instrumental in overseeing the programs, outreach and supporting initiatives to ensure small businesses in underserved communities receive the resources they need to thrive. The role will be responsible for managing the United for Business team, partnering with different volunteers, local and state organizations, councils, and other partners to ensure the overall success of the team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Director of Program Strategy & Community Partnerships to develop the overall strategy for the United for Business program including the short term and long-term goals as well as the appropriate logic model, implementation plan and metrics.
- Oversee the successful development and implementation of programs to support the growth of small businesses like the Small Business Accelerator, Website Build Initiative, THRIVE Small Business Summit and other initiatives.
- Partner with the Policy & Advocacy team on policy efforts that support small businesses and help determine the organization's position for opposition, support, or monitor for local, state, and federal legislation.
- Oversee and manage collaborative relationships with new and existing partners from other aligned agencies, contractors, and other funded partners that advance the goals and objectives of the UFB strategy.
- Serve as a thought leader in advancing innovative ideas and challenges to common challenges faced by the small business community.
- Work across programs and departments to help maximize resources and impacts to CID and its program participants.
- Partner with the team and the Evaluation and Learning department to identify, collect, and analyze appropriate data to continually inform efforts.
- Partner closely with the Resource Development Team to help drive revenue and support fundraising efforts for the United for Business program. Actively cultivate relationships with prospective and current volunteers as well as donors.
- Oversee the outreach initiatives to build a strong pipeline of small businesses interested in UFB programs as well as initiatives that strengthen relationships with external partners
Additional Responsibilities
- Build and sustain partnerships that maximize the ability of Mile High United Way to achieve its impact goals.
- Represent Mile High United Way on community-wide committees and functions.
- Sustain, manage, and develop projects as assigned.
- Research best practices and apply as needed/appropriate.
- Work in partnership with Mile High United Way staff, Board of Trustees committee members, and community volunteers in the investment of donated dollars.
- Identify and pursue potential funding opportunities and assist with preparing proposals to funding organizations and local partners in collaboration with Resource Development and the Grants team.
- Facilitate collaboration among community, funders, policy makers, service providers, nonprofit organizations, the corporate sector and other key community stakeholders in the development and implementation of program plans to support United for Business.
- Oversee the development and implementation of an outcome measurement process for evaluating the progress and impact of the overall plans and related projects in collaboration with the Evaluation and Learning team.
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, economic development, or entrepreneurship required or equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years direct related business management and/or business consulting experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of management, supervisory and/or related experience.
Specials Skills/Knowledge:
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and assisting businesses to successfully grow.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs and services with excellence
- Demonstrated experience in effective writing with stellar written and verbal communication.
- Experience with program development, implementation, outcome measurement and contract/grant management.
- Experience coordinating efforts and collaborating with a variety of individuals having conflicting agendas.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Successful ability to manage relationships internally and externally while ensuring goals are met.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to support team and ensure their success
Computer Skills:
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Highly Proficient in Salesforce and other program planning tools
Working Environment:
50% in typical office environment, 50% traveling to local offsite meetings.
Physical Activities: May be required to lift up to 20lbs.
