Asphalt Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the asphalt paving process by accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise estimates that align with project goals.

Duties

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for asphalt projects.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates.
• Monitor job site progress to ensure that work aligns with estimated costs and timelines.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals for clients, including breakdowns of costs and timelines.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and related documents for future reference.

Skills

• Proficient in asphalt estimating techniques and methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with asphalt management principles and practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
