Specialist, Procurement and Inventory
Millennium Physician Group
Full Time (Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM)
The Procurement and Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets within the organization. This role involves obtaining quotes, purchasing, tracking, receiving, storing, and deploying all IT equipment, ensuring that technology teams have the necessary resources to operate efficiently. The specialist will prioritize work assignments to meet service level agreements (SLAs) while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This role includes administering systems for tracking IT asset life cycles, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and standards. Additionally, the role focuses on maintaining accurate information on software licenses and service level agreements, while proactively monitoring and optimizing internal purchasing and inventory tracking systems for peak efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Procurement of IT equipment utilizing ERP system
- Research suppliers and direct the sourcing process
- Assists the technology leadership in negotiating contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements while remaining cost-conscious
- Maintains good working relationships with vendors
- Follow policies for efficient and fair procurement practices
- Collaborate with team to meet IT equipment needs, including procuring and deploying IT equipment needed for integrations
- Demonstrates technical writing, good presentation abilities, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Uphold an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
- Coordination with the Clinical and Technology teams to plan for IT equipment needs
- Comply with all HIPPA and Company Security guidelines
- Direction of research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of innovative procurement and / or equipment solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
