What you'll do:
- May perform a variety of tasks and activities that include working on assignments that are independent in nature as opposed to just leading the day-to-day activities of an assigned group of staff members
- Serves as a primary resource for assigned personnel during the onboarding process as well as mentoring, guiding and training staff on an ongoing basis
- Keeps management abreast of daily activities regarding the work schedule and the status of any operational issues while escalating unresolved issues to the Supervisor
- Partners with supervision in diagnosing and providing solutions or making recommendations to correct operational issues
- Performs administrative activities which may include setting up/adjusting work schedules, tracking absences, reviewing timesheets, inputting and/or extracting data or information from an electronic system to include reports, maintenance of data, training files, department policies, procedures, recommending disciplinary actions, promotions, demotions and terminations, and various other administrative tasks associated with the department's responsibilities
- May participate with the supervisor in resolving conflicts and minor employee relation grievances
- Ensures that all assigned areas follow the established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations
- Ensures that all company policies, QMS standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements are followed
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. The successful candidate may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed
What you'll bring:
- Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to abide by all company practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain an excellent rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer experience in Excel
- Experience with warehouse systems (Veracore is a plus)
- Prior experience working in an office setting and warehouse environment preferred
- Forklift experience
