Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated interns to join our world-class team for the summer of 2024 and help create the future of affordable, high-reliability space systems. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated practical problem-solving experience in their hobbies, academic projects, and/or previous internships.
As an Optics Intern, the individual will join a passionate team who helps in research & development (R&D), simulation, and testing of optical sensors to support Millennium's space missions. You will get hands on experience working in our Optics Lab, as well as have opportunities to perform modeling & simulation tasks and higher level optical systems engineering tasks.

Job Responsibilities
- Main responsibilities may include developing, executing upon, and generating reports for a variety of sensor testing
- Other responsibilities may include developing and working with image processing algorithms to extract data out of imagery or working with optical sensor models to predict sensor performance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in Optics Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant engineering or science discipline
- Applicants must be returning to school following the end of their summer internship
Compensation:
We’re excited to offer a competitive compensation package for this paid internship. All summer interns will also receive a bi-weekly stipend throughout their tenure here.
