Description : Foreman - Operations
Organizes and manages the safe daily operation of emergency spill response, specific industrial cleaning and environmental projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Site inspections and preparation of job estimates
Communicate with project manager / operations coordinator the needs of the specific jobs. Prepare manpower, equipment and materials
Prepare safety evaluation of job
Conduct Tailgate Safety Briefings daily and flash trainings as required
Work alongside and leading crews in a safe manner following all OSHA and company safety practices
Continually monitor job site for safety related issues
Manage and operate the equipment utilized daily on the job site
Manage crew to optimize production and profitability while maintaining a safe environment
Responsible for all documentation. Examples of paperwork required would be : worksheets or daily job reports, tailgate safety briefings, waste manifests and daily reports
Secure worksite at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and security of equipment and materials
Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and returned in proper working order at the end of each project
Must be able to follow and manage a project from start to finish
On-site customer service
Qualification / Requirements :
Minimum 3 years experience in Industrial cleaning, utility or environmental construction, with 1 years supervising crews.
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (entering notes, and photo upload)
Knowledge of Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids : Jack Hammers, Vacuum Trucks, Roll-off Trucks, Guzzler / Vactors, Oil / Water Pumps, Air Ventilator, Gas Monitors, High-Pressure Hot Water Washers, Basic Hand Tools, etc.
Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients
Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
Detail-oriented, creative, proactive and persistent.
Chemical handling and air monitoring equipment experience is a plus
Travel is required
Education / Training / Experience :
High School Diploma or GED, B.S. preferred with
Transferable skills and experience / education in the environmental industry are required

The work is primarily performed in the field, outdoors in the heat or cold for 8-12 hours per day. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
To reduce exposure to harmful materials, workers often wear coveralls, gloves, shoe covers, safety glasses, or goggles. Some must wear fully enclosed protective suits for several hours at a time; these suits may be hot and uncomfortable and may cause the workers who wear them to experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces). In extremely toxic cleanups, hazmat workers are required to wear respirators or personal air monitors.
