Job Title: Immigration Paralegal
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Ithaca, NY
Salary: $22 - $30/hr commensurate with experience
Days/Hrs: Mon-Fri.
We are a nationally renowned immigration law practice in a high-paced, friendly downtown law firm in Ithaca, New York, near Cornell University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under supervision of lawyers, prepare documents needed for immigration filings with government agencies including legal briefs, forms, and correspondence.
- Manage high volume of cases including monitoring and meeting deadlines, communicating with clients, agents, coworkers, and government agencies, and coordinating preparation and receipt of evidence with multiple parties.
- Conduct research.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or higher.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Ability to handle high volume case load while maintaining high level of productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of experience as a paralegal in a professional office.
- Bachelor's Degree.
