Overview
As a Screening & Compliance Associate you will manage tenant application processing, perform various compliance-related tasks, and assist with property certification and tenant eligibility. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the company remains compliant with all laws and regulations.
Job Details
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to) :
- Review and process rental applications, including credit reports, landlord references, and criminal background checks for conventional properties.
- Oversee and process Reasonable Accommodation requests, working closely with Regional Supervisors to ensure compliance.
- Ensure all rental applications are accurate and processed in a timely manner and keep status updated in company software.
- Understand program requirements for eligibility across different property types and remain up-to-date with changes to program rules and regulations.
- Assist with the creation and updates to Tenant Selection Plans (TSP) for each property.
- Ensure property certifications are completed on time and meet compliance deadlines.
- Process rejected applications and assist with reconsideration process.
- Work with the compliance staff to ensure proper preparation and processing of Special Claims.
- Manage Utility Allowance reports for affordable properties and deliver them to Accounting for processing.
Screening & Compliance Associate will complete and follow-up on a wide variety of tasks and items as may be assigned / or necessary to fulfill job duties and oversee maintenance processes.
Property Manager will work cooperatively and comply with all company standards, policy and procedures, and will be conducted professionally, consistently and safely. EOE
Work Schedule : This position is part time at 20 hours / week, scheduled hours must be scheduled between Tuesday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
Requirements :
High School Diploma, Previous experience as a Property Manager and / or previous supervisory experience preferred
3-5 years of computer experience - including but not limited to, Windows OS, Outlook, Word
