About the Position
This is a unique career path that takes consideration and commitment from both spouses. As a House Parent, you will be responsible for managing household responsibilities, guiding, and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will create a family-like structure for your students, handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more.
You will work closely with other House Parents and school staff to ensure that your students receive the best possible care and support. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training and professional development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be a married couple who has been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You should also have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
