What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couples Houseparent Opportunities position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, providing a nurturing family-like environment for disadvantaged students. As flex houseparents, you will reside in an on-campus student home, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. You will handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc.
The ideal candidate has experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, have been legally married for at least two years, and have no more than three dependent children residing in the student home. Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, no alcohol is permitted while on duty, and limitations on pets apply.
Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. High school diploma or GED required, and both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
This role requires commitment and integrity as couples act as role models and mentors for the children. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth, we encourage you to apply.
