Milton Hershey School is one of the world's best private schools, providing an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are looking for a married couple to become flex houseparents, providing a consistent family-like structure for our students. In this role, you will reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Flex houseparents handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more.
Benefits and Perks
We offer a unique compensation package, including a salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 for the couple. You will also receive comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and three-week paid summer vacation. Our schedule offers nine days on followed by three days off, with personal time while students are at school.
Requirements and Qualifications
To apply for this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. You will need to abide by our smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
