Student Support Role
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes and guiding a group of approximately 8-12 students. This role is ideal for couples who want to make a positive impact in the lives of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Compensation Package
The total compensation package includes a salary of $43,825 per person, free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Job Responsibilities
As flex houseparents, couples will provide a consistent family-like structure for students, handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc., and lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. They must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
Eligibility Criteria
Couples must have been legally married for at least two years, be age 27 or older, and have no more than three dependent children living in the student home. They must also have a valid driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
