What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emotional Support Specialists Needed for At-Risk Youth position at Milton Hershey School?
Couples who are passionate about supporting at-risk youth are encouraged to apply for our houseparent program. As a houseparent, you will live on-campus with your spouse and provide a family-like structure for 8-12 students.
You will be responsible for guiding students in their daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, and promoting a positive attitude towards learning. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services and lead students in daily devotions.
We are looking for couples who have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
We offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. You will also enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with workdays including personal time while students are at school.
To qualify, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and participating in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
