Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples who can provide a family-like environment and serve as role models for groups of 8-12 students. As House Parents, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic, personal, and social development of our students. You will also have the chance to develop your leadership skills and work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive community.
What We Offer
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; life insurance; disability options; and retirement savings. Additionally, we offer relocation assistance and paid training to help you succeed in your role. Our flexible schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. You will also receive three-week paid summer vacation and the opportunity to participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• Legally married couples with at least two years of marriage
• Both spouses should be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
