Role Summary:
We are seeking experienced couples to join our team as Family Support Specialists. In this role, you will reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. As a Family Support Specialist, you will provide a consistent family-like structure for students, handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will work closely with your partner to ensure the well-being and development of the students in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a supportive and structured environment for students
* Develop and implement plans to meet the academic and personal needs of students
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
* Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
* Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* High school diploma or GED required
* Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
