Career Opportunities:
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of 8-12 students in on-campus student homes. This role requires you to provide a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You must have been legally married for at least two years, and both spouses should be age 27 or older. You should also have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
What We Offer:
In addition to the salary and benefits mentioned earlier, we offer a flexible schedule with nine days on followed by three days off. Workdays include a period of personal time while students are at school, and you will receive three-week paid summer vacation. We also provide relocation assistance and paid training. As a flex houseparent, you will be living on campus in a student home, where pets are limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.
