Milton Hershey School is seeking experienced couples to become part of our team as Houseparents. In this unique role, you will provide a nurturing and family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Job Description:
As Houseparents, you will be responsible for guiding approximately 8-12 students, administering care, and managing daily household activities. This includes driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and providing a consistent family-like structure for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and nurture a group of approximately 8-12 students
- Administer care and manage daily household activities
- Drive and administer medication (as needed)
- Budget and report on household expenses
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You and your spouse must be legally married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
