Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to become flex houseparents, providing a consistent family-like structure for students in our on-campus homes. As a flex houseparent, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students, handling daily activities and ensuring their well-being.
Couples work together to create a nurturing environment that fosters the growth and development of our students. This role requires experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings, and a commitment to fostering a caring atmosphere.
As a houseparent, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and guidance to students
- Manage student homes, including household chores and maintenance
- Coordinate daily schedules and activities
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure student success
We offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance. Our salary is $43,825 per person, totaling around $150,000 per couple, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.
