Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful as a houseparent, you should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be age 27 or older, and couples must have been legally married for at least two years. You should also have a valid driver's license, be able to become certified to drive student home vans, and demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
