What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Coordinator position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is a leading educational institution providing a career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are seeking married couples to join our team as flex houseparents, where they will reside in on-campus student homes and provide guidance and support to students aged pre-K to 12th grade.
The role involves managing various responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and fostering a nurturing community for students. Flex houseparents will also have the opportunity to participate in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You and your spouse must be age 27 or older, and you should be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to church services.
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. Our unique schedule allows for nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.
