Milton Hershey School seeks dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Houseparents. As a married couple, you will reside in an on-campus student home and provide a supportive environment for a group of approximately 8-12 students.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for married couples to make a positive impact in the lives of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will work closely with the school's administration and other staff members to ensure the well-being and success of your students.
Responsibilities
- Reside in an on-campus student home
- Provide a consistent family-like structure for students
- Drive students to appointments and activities
- Administer medication as needed
- Manage household budget
- Lead daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
