As part of Domestic Scouting Department, the Area Scout will scout a specified territory and evaluate player talent. Recommend and sign quality major league prospects for the organization.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain relationships with players, families, coaches, and advisors in the area
- Evaluate draft eligible players and accurately determine their sign ability
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in scouting or related fields, as well as the ability to successfully evaluate amateur and professional baseball talent at all levels.

The Domestic Scouting Department is a critical component to the success of the Milwaukee Brewers organization. We must be elite at acquiring and developing talent from all possible sources including the draft and pro acquisitions from both affiliated and independent league sources. You will be given the opportunity to scout players across all player demographics and contribute to our decision processes in all of those spaces. We strive to be top 5 in the industry in player acquisition from low level domestic player acquisition.
