Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking to add a Customer and Field Support Representative to our team at our facility in New Berlin, WI. This position is 100% on-site with no opportunity to commute remotely. This is a salaried-exempt position with a starting wage commensurate on qualifications. The schedule is 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary - Under the direction of Customer and Field Support Services Manager and Customer and Field Support Service Supervisor, the Customer and Field Support Representative (CFSR) provides front line support to existing and/or new potential customers and our field sales team. Through phone contact and email the CFSR promotes communication between sales representatives, field sales managers, and internal personnel to ensure prompt delivery of our products, correctness of customer order entry process and helps drive “best in class” customer service to our internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Includes the following:

  • Promptly answers calls and emails regarding order status, order inquiry, and pricing from customers, sales representatives, and field sales managers.
  • Enters and audits customer orders to ensure orders are entered and priced correctly, to avoid potential material returns and price related deductions, which are costly to the organization.
  • Expedites shipments of customer orders.
  • Supports field sales team by communicating updates of customer pricing both standard profile and job to pricing department.
  • Creates return goods authorizations.
  • Practices and implements CPR (Courtesy, Professionalism and Respect) daily to both internal and external customers.

Other duties may be assigned on a project basis.

Education and/or Experience -
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills -
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills -
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability -
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. As well as, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills -
Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Other Skills and Abilities -
Data entry skills. Must be able to differentiate and remember different product numbers and prices. And must be able to juggle multiple projects and determine priority of workload.
