Duties
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces.
- Apply paint using various techniques, including airless paint spraying.
- Perform buffing and polishing to achieve a smooth finish.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize auto estimating software to assess the time and materials needed for each job.
- Collaborate with mechanics and other staff to coordinate repairs and painting tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto painting or related fields is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in airless paint spraying techniques.
- Basic mechanical knowledge; experience as a mechanic is a plus.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform buffing and welding tasks as required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for test-driving vehicles post-painting.
