What are the responsibilities and job description for the Living Services Supervisor position at Minds in Motion Initiative?
Minds in Motion Initiative (MIMI) is a nonprofit organization in Salem, Oregon specializing in rehabilitation services for people with brain injuries.
We are building a team of compassionate and dedicated professionals to staff our residential services program, providing 24/7 support to individuals working towards living as independently as possible. Our model of care is unique in that we are partnering with our residential clients in learning the skills and habits necessary to progress towards living in a natural setting, the way that they choose.
Under the direction of the Living Services Manager, the Living Services Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to ensure the staff demonstrate therapeutic principles that facilitate a higher level of independence for our clients. The Living Services Supervisor will need to maintain knowledge and understanding of each client's current interventions, cognitive and mental status. The Supervisor will provide staff coaching as well as administrative duties as defined below:
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES
- Process and review weekly reports to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Oversee staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage
- Work closely with management to provide coaching to TLS staff
- In partnership with Living Services Coordinator, ensure that day to day needs of the program and clients are addressed and met
- Facilitating the desired culture of MIMI through open communication, positive intent and transparency
- Overtime as determined by the Employer. The Employer reserves the right to require occasional overtime work, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays, with reasonable notice when feasible. This requirement is based on the organization's commitment to leadership ensuring that all team members, including leadership, demonstrate dedication, accountability, and a strong work ethic in meeting operational demands. Compensation for overtime shall be provided in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Ensure that all assigned work duties are completed by staff during their scheduled shifts. This includes monitoring task progress, providing guidance as needed, and addressing any barriers to completion.
- Provide staff support throughout the shift and have availability to answer questions as needed
- Model and support MIMI’s culture and values.

We're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
· 1 year Supervisory experience
· Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of Acquired Brain Injury preferred
· 24/7 Residential care experience
· Ability to teach, empower, and support the team
· Previous experience in direct patient care is highly preferred
· Self starter, creative, responsible, able to work independently
· Satisfactory driving record and clear criminal background history
