We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Specialist to be the go-to person for all things tech-related in our office. This is a sole IT role within the company, responsible for managing workstations, ensuring secure remote access, troubleshooting network issues, and supporting day-to-day IT operations. While this is not a senior-level position, it is a crucial role in ensuring our team operates efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Workstation Setup & Maintenance – Configure and deploy computers, printers, and other hardware for new and existing employees
- Remote Access & Support – Set up and maintain secure remote access solutions for employees working off-site. Troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed
- Network Security & Infrastructure – Monitor and maintain network security, firewalls, and overall infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats
- Software & Application Management – Install, update, and manage network applications, including loan origination systems, CRM software, and cloud-based platforms
- Technical Troubleshooting – Provide first-line IT support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- User Access & Security – Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Backup & Disaster Recovery – Implement and maintain backup solutions to safeguard company data
- IT Documentation – Maintain accurate records of IT assets, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems; familiarity with MacOS is a plus
- Experience with remote access tools, VPN setup, and network troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of network security principles, firewalls, and anti-virus software
- Ability to manage cloud-based applications and software integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus
- Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS) and CRM platforms
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge for IT processes
