Position Summary
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure systems run optimally. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and strong interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with colleagues across various departments and levels.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Rack and stack servers (lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Repair or replace damaged hardware.
- Upgrade systems to support compatible software.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Perform tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
- Provide user support and act as the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across departments.
- Conduct daily backup operations and manage technical documentation.
- Perform asset management, including physical asset audits (4 times per year) and inventory tracking.
