JOB SUMMARY
Administers the organization’s payroll and timekeeping systems to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and company policy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Maintains compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
- Manages and maintains a payroll system for the organization to ensure accurate and timely wage payments in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations as well as company policy.
- Administers and maintains employee self-service (ESS) portal to include user set up and support.
- Administers the attendance policy through timekeeping system to include tracking and reporting, as well as supporting managers and department leaders with any discrepancies.
- Provides support to associates with a variety of issues or questions regarding payroll, timekeeping, PTO, among others.
- Maintains associate personnel and payroll records to ensure proper storage and retention.
- Research, compiles, and summarizes a variety of information to prepare frequent, periodic, and special reports related to the payroll function.
- Maintains external relationship with payroll vendors, professional services, and related government bodies for reporting and tax compliance.
- Monitors professional literature and attends training and seminars to stay current with governmental compliance regulations.
- Responsible for facilitating Unemployment Insurance appeals.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes or similar application software.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Prefer candidates with the following education and experience or equivalent combination of education and experience:
- Associate’s degree in business, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience with administering payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Familiarity with FLSA, ERISA, and other applicable federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
- 2-3 years of experience with payroll and timekeeping systems; ADP experience preferred

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an Associate typically encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An Associate must be willing to work any shift or required overtime, as needed, on a seven-day work cycle depending on company needs and customer production demands.
