We are looking to hire a Business Development Representative LVN/RN for one of our clients. The Business Development Representative LVN/RN position reports to the Chief Growth Officer and is responsible to assure the assigned territory(s) meet or exceed the company’s current and cumulative growth goals while assuring the company’s image and brand continues to be the premier brand in the market. This position will also act as a resource and subject matter expert for skilled and 24/7 admits. The Business Development Representative continually builds and enhances local relationships while identifying and creating new, key referral relationships and partnerships to enhance and assure growth and reputation goals are met or exceeded.



ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Directly & Through Subordinates:                                                                                                                                                                

  • Meeting or exceeding personal referral/sales metrics.
  • Excellent, consistent sales processes, electronic data and records to help assure consistent follow-up and follow through with all referral sources and the ability to spot trends with a focus on results.
  • Develop and maintain key referral sources in service area for the territory(s). Some examples of key referral sources are case managers, social workers in hospitals, rehabs, home health agencies, hospice agencies, LTACs, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. 
  • Responsible for seeking out new business opportunities by developing, coordinating, and implementing plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
  • Develop proposals with the assistance of the Areas Sales Manager in response to requests.
  • Work with the Case Management and Area Directors to create an ongoing flow of high quality, fresh, relevant content (electronic) and collateral (physical) for assigned territory(s).
  • Set up and present a targeted presentation for referral sources.
  • Serve as a key resource and subject matter expert for skilled nursing admissions, providing guidance to nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of admission workflows and best practices for 24/7 admissions.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and external referral sources to facilitate a smooth, efficient admissions process.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations during admission procedures.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to urgent admission referrals, maintaining communication across teams for 24/7 service coverage.
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources, admissions staff, and nursing teams to address challenges and streamline processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate admission data to identify areas for improvement in training and resource allocation.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with referral agencies, hospitals, and other healthcare partners to optimize the flow of admits.
  • Responsible for maintaining the reputation and brand of the company in conjunction with the Case Manager(s) in the area.
  • Responsible for contributing to the overall company mission & following all Core Values.
  • Perform other such tasks and assignments as directed by management/leadership of organization. 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Graduated from High School with your diploma.
  • 3 -5 years marketing and/or sales experience preferred. 
  • LVN or RN license
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Communicates on an intermediate level with others (internally and externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquires, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints.
  • Tracks, monitors, plans, coordinates, or schedules activities at an intermediate level to ensure deadlines or requirements are met.
  • Ability to make recommendations to address and resolve issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing, verbally and make presentations to internal and external staff.
  • Ability to effectively deal with diverse groups and individuals and to maintain working relationships.
  • Be proficient in preparing and proof-reading correspondence and forms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and skill in records administration and maintenance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL:

Works primarily out of the local office but may travel frequently to referral sources throughout the assigned territory(s). Must have reliable transportation. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged sitting required, with ability operate office equipment which may include heavy lifting, bending and standing.
  • Requires ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition.
