This position directs and manages the business and administrative operations of Management Analysis and Development (MAD), a unique business housed in state government, dedicated to supporting and strengthening public sector organizations. For more information about MAD, visit our website :
The position exists to ensure that MAD's fee-for-service management consulting enterprise functions smoothly, that MAD's clients receive timely and effective service, and that MAD staff have what they need to serve our clients. The business and operations manager ensures MAD's continued financial solvency by balancing the responsible stewardship of client resources, the appropriate valuing of MAD services, and the need for MAD to be financially self-sufficient.
MAD's business and operations manager works as a key member of MAD's management team. By providing critical leadership and execution of MAD business and operations, this position facilitates the provision of high-level, statewide consulting services to all state agencies, positively impacting the quality and effectiveness of services provided to Minnesotans.

Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional or managerial level experience, which includes at least some experience in each of the following areas :
A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field may substitute for one year of experience. A master's degree in a related field may substitute for 18 months of experience.
