Job Summary

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Learning and Development (L&D) CBS Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Training and Development Specialist 2! This position will schedule, create, deliver learner-centered, performance-based training by designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development activities and programs for all of DCT.

Primary responsibilities :

  • Participate in L&D activities that result is design, delivery and / or evaluation of effective learning and development programs and materials for DCT with a primary focus on CBS.
  • Provides staff in CBS information on training activities and advises line supervisors on techniques of employee development.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the modern principle of employee and staff development.
  • Coordinate class schedule and instructor assignments for various disciplines.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    One (1) year professional experience OR Three (3) years advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in instructional design or delivering training to adult learners that demonstrates the following :

  • Designing, developing, and coordinating training programs and learning and development activities.
  • Training and experience in the use of needs assessment, training methods, adult learning, training evaluation and measurement.
  • Experience with learning management or other similar tracking and reporting software.
  • Master's degree in learning management, instructional design, adult education, or related field.

    Note : A Bachelor's degree in learning management, instructional design, adult education, or related field may substitute for1 year of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with people experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, intellectual disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries.
  • Prior experience as an EASE or self-defense instructor.
