Metropolitan Council is now hiring for Associate Community Outreach CoordinatorThe Associate Community Outreach Coordinator position is the entry level job class designed to support Metro Transit's community outreach and engagement efforts. This position will be responsible for planning, implementing outreach and engagement activities, and supporting the Public Involvement team and other project staff in the delivery of community outreach and construction initiatives.Education and ExperienceAny of the following combinations of completed education (in planning, urban studies, social work, psychology, education, communication, public affairs, political science or related field) and experience in public affairs or community relations for a non-profit or government agency (paid/unpaid/internship): • High school diploma/GED with five (5) years of experience.• Associate degree with three (3) years of experience.• Bachelor's degree or higher with one (1) year of experience.Desired Qualifications• Experience with event coordination logistics.• Experience with community outreach in the Twin Cities, specifically with construction coordination, building strong community relationships.• Experience in transit/transportation.Apply: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/metrocouncil/jobs/4777751-0/associate-community-outreach-coordinator
