The Public Works Trainee performs entry-level and semi-skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s park, utility, or street systems under the direction of Divisional Superintendents and Crew Leads.
This is a limited-duration, full-time, union-benefited position lasting up to two years. The role provides training and hands-on experience to develop the skills needed to become a fully qualified Maintenance Worker. The trainee position will end after two years unless hired into a Maintenance Worker role before that time.
