The Elk River Recreation department is seeking a Recreation Intern who will be responsible for assisting with a variety of community events and programs, and with the preparation work for these events and programs. Learn how programs are developed and implemented and work together with recreation staff to develop your skills in general management of recreation facilities and programs.
Must be current student working toward a bachelor’s degree in a recreation related field; experienced in coordinating events/programs; experienced in customer service; have ability to relate to youth and adults and work independently and in a team setting; able to socially, physically, and mentally perform all essential position functions; possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; and have a valid driver’s license or ability to get to program sites.
May be eligible for Earned Sick and Safe Time upon qualification for this benefit.
